Commmunity
In our class, most of the students learn music as an after-school activity.
On November 25th, they performed for the entire school community: parents and other relatives, teachers, students, school partners, other community supporters and members were there, enjoying the moment.
Being part of such a community is a once-in-a-lifetime experience because music is one of the most important things in their lives and sharing it with others is an unforgettable experience!
This is the local School Music where our students learn how to play the violin, guitar, clarinet, accordion, for example! It offers a variety of activities which promote a truly spirit of partnership!

We enjoyed to know how you and your friends celebrated Halloween. And of course we loved the fact that your best friend is Portuguese!
We have visited your blog and we were thrilled to know more about you and your family. We also like sports and, of course, we love football. Do you know that The Portuguese football team won the European Championship 2016, in France?
By the way, we also agree with you: mom’s cooking is so good and delicious that it’s not possible to describe it! We loved your expression: “it’s like putting a spoonful of heaven into your mouth”. My students laughed and asked me to tell you - you’re completely right.
But, in my opinion, you are a poet. We also find your poem about water amazing! It’s such a precious resource and sometimes we forget this!
Let me tell you that my students learn English as their first foreign language, so it’s very important for them to get in touch with young teens from other countries and making blogging friends all over the world!

Cascais
Cascais is situated 30km to the west
of central Lisbon and it is a small beach and a charming Portuguese town, considered as one of the best
day trips from Lisbon.
Once a fishermen's harbour, Cascais is a
nice and sophisticated place.
It has a delightful historic centre,
where one can discover a lot of interesting tourist attractions. Dominated by the bay and the imposing Cidadela fort (former
House of the Cascais governor, chosen by King Luís for his residence), the historic
centre is full of architectural treasures of a religious, military and civil
nature. The town is small enough to explore
entirely by foot.
Cascais was also the former residence of the royal family and pioneer of tourism in Portugal.
The coastline between Lisbon and
Cascais is lined with sandy beaches and these beaches are extremely popular
with the residents of Lisbon.
Cascais is
easily reachable from Lisbon by car or
by train (30min).
Sintra
ReplyDeleteSintra is a town on the Estoril Coast, Lisbon and Sintra are ideal places to visit.
It's one of the most delightful places to go because of the wide range of green, especially in the Serra de Sintra.
Sintra is not only beautiful because of the Sintra Mountain. It's also has priceless archaeological remains especially from the Roman period.
This Portuguese city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995.
Sintra’s abundant architectural and historical attractions include Pena National Palace, Sintra National Palace, Quinta de Regaleira, Monserrate Palace, Castle of the Moors, and Seteais Palace.

It is the most important city due to financial, commercial, artistic and educational aspects in Portugal and has a lot of interesting tourist attractions with million years.
Lisbon is the capital of Portugal. Lisbon is the largest city in an area of 100,05km2.
ReplyDeleteIt has about 552700 thousand habitants within its area, and its urban area extends beyond its "borders" and has 2.7 million people.
Lisbon has several places where we can stroll, for example, on the riverbank which has lots of restaurants and cafés where we can go to enjoy the day ; we can also go to the Lisbon Oceanarium, the Castle of São Jorge connecting the low and High Lisbon, the Chiado, Belém, which is also very famous for their custard cakes, also for the Belém Tower and the Belém Cultural Centre.
The city is very big, so you can not to walk all the time, only if you want to, but we can travel by tuk-tuk, which is great fun, by tram which is also very funny and by car, but it's not so fun.
Along the coast between Lisbon and Cascais there are many extremely popular beaches to the residents of Lisbon.

Porto (also known as Oporto in English)
ReplyDeletePorto is situated along the Douro river estuary in Northern Portugal and it is the second largest city in Portugal after Lisbon and one of the major urban areas of the Iberian Peninsula.
This Portuguese city is one of the oldest European centres, and its historical core was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in 1996.
In Porto, you can find beautiful monuments such as Clérigos Tower, Church of São Francisco and Porto Cathedral.
One of Portugal's internationally famous exports is port wine.
Typical dishes from this city are Tripas à Moda do Porto and Francesinha (exactly Frenchy).
Oporto is a city situated in the north of the country, Portugal and has a area of 45Km. The population is about the 240 000 people. Some say that Oporto is considered to be very similar to Lisbon.

Piódão is a Portuguese parish of the county of Arganil, with 36.57 km ² of area and about 178 inhabitants. density is 4.9. The parish includes the following villages: Piódão, Malhada Chã, Chãs d'Égua, Tojo, Fórnea, Foz d`Egua, Barreiros, Covita, Torno, Casal Cimeiro and Casal Fundeiro. Piodão is a really beautiful place where you can taste some reeally good cheese and visit some of its monuments some being: Capelas de S. Pedro, de S. João, de Santa Bárbara, da Senhora da Saúde e da Senhora do Bom Parto,Museu Etnográfico, etc..
ReplyDeleteBerlengas is a little Island in Portugal. It is located in the northeast of Peniche. There are several smaller islands around it (Cerro da Velha, Estela and Meda do Norte, …).
ReplyDeleteIt is one of the main nestling and refuge spots for sea birds and also other bird species. Berlengas has some endangered species which has been chosen as the symbol of Nature Reserve in Berlengas. The protected area also covers an important 985-hectare marine reserve, with a diversified range of animal life.
Berlengas is the only island with no inhabitants throughout the year, limited to those persons required for indispensable services; the services are the operation of the lighthouse and surveillance of the Nature Reserve, thus living in absolute isolation. Berlengas is the ideal spot for those who are looking for tranquility, far from the normal noise and pollution of cities. That is why the island can only be visited by a maximum of 350 persons at any one time.
